The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, is a world leader in research, teaching and public engagement. There are approximately 32,000 undergraduates and more than 11,000 graduate students enrolled on campus. The University was founded in 1885, and is one of the original 37 public land-grant institutions created after President Lincoln signed the Morrill Act in 1862.
